بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ هَلۡ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنِ حِینࣱ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهۡرِ لَمۡ یَكُن شَیۡـࣰٔا مَّذۡكُورًا

Has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered?

إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ أَمۡشَاجࣲ نَّبۡتَلِیهِ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ سَمِیعَۢا بَصِیرًا

We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing.

إِنَّا هَدَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلسَّبِیلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرࣰا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

Surely We guided him upon the way whether he be thankful or unthankful.

إِنَّاۤ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ سَلَـٰسِلَا۟ وَأَغۡلَـٰلࣰا وَسَعِیرًا

Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains, fetters, and a Blaze.

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ یَشۡرَبُونَ مِن كَأۡسࣲ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا

Surely the pious shall drink of a cup whose mixture is camphor,

عَیۡنࣰا یَشۡرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ ٱللَّهِ یُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفۡجِیرࣰا

a fountain whereat drink the servants of God, making it to gush forth plenteously.

یُوفُونَ بِٱلنَّذۡرِ وَیَخَافُونَ یَوۡمࣰا كَانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسۡتَطِیرࣰا

They fulfil their vows, and fear a day whose evil is upon the wing;

وَیُطۡعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسۡكِینࣰا وَیَتِیمࣰا وَأَسِیرًا

they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive:

إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِیدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَاۤءࣰ وَلَا شُكُورًا

'We feed you only for the Face of God; we desire no recompense from you, no thankfulness;

إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا یَوۡمًا عَبُوسࣰا قَمۡطَرِیرࣰا

for we fear from our Lord a frowning day, inauspicious.

فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمۡ نَضۡرَةࣰ وَسُرُورࣰا

So God has guarded them from the evil of that day, and has procured them radiancy and gladness,

وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ جَنَّةࣰ وَحَرِیرࣰا

and recompensed them for their patience with a Garden, and silk;

مُّتَّكِـِٔینَ فِیهَا عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَاۤىِٕكِۖ لَا یَرَوۡنَ فِیهَا شَمۡسࣰا وَلَا زَمۡهَرِیرࣰا

therein they shall recline upon couches, therein they shall see neither sun nor bitter cold;

وَدَانِیَةً عَلَیۡهِمۡ ظِلَـٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتۡ قُطُوفُهَا تَذۡلِیلࣰا

near them shall be its shades, and its clusters hung meekly down,

وَیُطَافُ عَلَیۡهِم بِـَٔانِیَةࣲ مِّن فِضَّةࣲ وَأَكۡوَابࣲ كَانَتۡ قَوَارِیرَا۠

and there shall be passed around them vessels of silver, and goblets of crystal,

قَوَارِیرَا۟ مِن فِضَّةࣲ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقۡدِیرࣰا

crystal of silver that they have measured -- very exactly.

وَیُسۡقَوۡنَ فِیهَا كَأۡسࣰا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِیلًا

And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger,

عَیۡنࣰا فِیهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلۡسَبِیلࣰا

therein a fountain whose name is called Salsabil.

۞ وَیَطُوفُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَ ٰ⁠نࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَیۡتَهُمۡ حَسِبۡتَهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤࣰا مَّنثُورࣰا

Immortal youths shall go about them; when thou seest them, thou supposest them scattered pearls,

وَإِذَا رَأَیۡتَ ثَمَّ رَأَیۡتَ نَعِیمࣰا وَمُلۡكࣰا كَبِیرًا

when thou seest them then thou seest bliss and a great kingdom.

عَـٰلِیَهُمۡ ثِیَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضۡرࣱ وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقࣱۖ وَحُلُّوۤا۟ أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةࣲ وَسَقَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ شَرَابࣰا طَهُورًا

Upon them shall be green garments of silk and brocade; they are adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall give them to drink a pure draught.

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ جَزَاۤءࣰ وَكَانَ سَعۡیُكُم مَّشۡكُورًا

Behold, this is a recompense for you, and your striving is thanked.'

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَیۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَنزِیلࣰا

Surely We have sent down the Koran on thee, a sending down;

فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مِنۡهُمۡ ءَاثِمًا أَوۡ كَفُورࣰا

so be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and obey not one of them, sinner or unbeliever.

وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ بُكۡرَةࣰ وَأَصِیلࣰا

And remember the Name of thy Lord at dawn and in the evening

وَمِنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ فَٱسۡجُدۡ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحۡهُ لَیۡلࣰا طَوِیلًا

and part of the night; bow down before Him and magnify Him through the long night.

إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ یُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ وَیَذَرُونَ وَرَاۤءَهُمۡ یَوۡمࣰا ثَقِیلࣰا

Surely these men love the hasty world, and leave be behind them a heavy day.

نَّحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَشَدَدۡنَاۤ أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ وَإِذَا شِئۡنَا بَدَّلۡنَاۤ أَمۡثَـٰلَهُمۡ تَبۡدِیلًا

We created them, and We strengthened their joints; and, when We will, We shall exchange their likes.

إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةࣱۖ فَمَن شَاۤءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِیلࣰا

Surely this is a Reminder; so he who will, takes unto his Lord a way.

وَمَا تَشَاۤءُونَ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَشَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِیمًا حَكِیمࣰا

But you will not unless God wills; surely God is ever All-knowing, All-wise.

یُدۡخِلُ مَن یَشَاۤءُ فِی رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ وَٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِیمَۢا

For He admits into His mercy whomsoever He will; as for the evildoers, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement.
